Effective 7 September 2026. This page explains how WYD handles information when you use our app and partner services.
Information we collect
WYD may collect account information such as your name and phone number, preferences, favorites, bookings, gift and wallet activity, support messages, and device or usage information needed to operate and improve the service.
How we use information
We use information to provide accounts, personalize discovery, process bookings and gifts, prevent fraud and duplicate redemptions, provide customer support, improve WYD, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Activity partners
When you book an activity, WYD may share the booking details reasonably needed by the activity provider to deliver the reservation, such as the booking reference, guest count, time, and customer information required for check-in.
Payments
Eligible card and Apple Pay payments are processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. WYD does not store full card numbers in the mobile app. Payment providers process payment information under their own terms and privacy practices.
Location
If you allow location access, WYD uses your location to show nearby activities and estimate distance from you. You can deny or change location permission in your device settings.
WYD Wallet and gifts
WYD stores wallet transactions, gift values, claim status, and related identifiers so credit can be applied correctly and duplicate or unauthorized claims can be prevented.
Storage and security
WYD uses backend access controls and technical safeguards designed to protect account and transaction data. Some limited preferences or recent activity may also be stored locally on your device.
Your choices
You can update account information and preferences in WYD, control device permissions, and request account deletion from inside the app. Certain transaction records may be retained where reasonably required for financial, fraud-prevention, dispute, or legal purposes.
Changes
We may update this policy as WYD evolves. Material changes will be communicated when appropriate.
